Importing your log
On this page
You can bring your history with you from Notion, Strong or Hevy. Importing is in the web app only (on a computer is easiest): open Me, then Import.
Have a program from a coach in Google Sheets or Excel instead? See Import your coach’s program.
How it works
- Pick the source: Notion, Strong or Hevy. For Strong, also say whether your Strong was set to kg or lb (its export does not say).
- Choose the files. They are read in your browser; the files themselves are never uploaded. Only
.csvand.mdfiles under 5 MB are read. - Review. You see how many sessions, sets and check-in days were found, the date range, and any warnings. Exercise names are matched to the built-in list; where a name could mean two things, you confirm it once, and a name with no match can be mapped to a built-in exercise or created as your own.
- Import. Sessions are saved with a progress bar. Then your records and exercise history are rebuilt once, so your bests and “last time” numbers include the old sessions.
Imported workouts are private (only you). Importing the same file again skips the sessions you already imported, so changes you made to them are kept.
Strong
In the Strong app, export your workouts as a CSV file (Strong’s settings have an export option), then choose that file in Liftorra. Dates, exercises, sets, weights, reps, notes and RPE (how hard each set felt) come across. Warm-up, drop and failure sets keep their kind.
Hevy
In Hevy, export your workouts as a CSV file from the settings, then choose that file in Liftorra. Dates, exercises, sets, weights, reps and RPE come across; drop sets are joined to the set before them. Supersets come in as plain exercises.
Notion
Export your workout pages from Notion as Markdown & CSV and unzip the export. Then choose the whole folder (or select its CSV and Markdown files).
The Notion importer reads a log laid out like the one Liftorra was designed around:
- a weekly database with one row per day, a Workout (or Name) column and a Date column; optional Protein, Calories (or KCAL), Steps (or Walk) and Bodyweight (or KG) columns become check-in days,
- a page per training day,
- inside each day, a small table per exercise with a Reps column, where rep lines like
10x40or6x60x50x40are read with the same set shorthand as the logger.
Files are recognised by their columns, not their names. If your Notion log is laid out differently, the review step tells you what it could not read before anything is saved.
Not in the phone app
The iPhone and Android app is not released yet. When it is, importing stays in the web app, and the phone app points you there. Everything you import is on every device afterwards.
Try it in the app
Free to train, no ads. Works in the browser on your phone and computer.
