The daily check-in
On this page
The check-in sits on Today, under your session. It starts with four numbers, as daily totals:
| Number | Unit | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Protein | g | Your total for the day, not per meal |
| Calories | kcal | Your total for the day |
| Steps | steps | Type them from your phone or watch |
| Bodyweight | kg or lb | Shown with your 7-day average |
Log any of them, all of them, or none. There is no food database, no meals and no barcode scanning: only the totals you already know.
Same as yesterday
Tap a number to open its keypad. Save moves on to the next number you have not logged.
On a day that looks like yesterday, tap Same as yesterday under the numbers: every number that is still empty today and was logged yesterday gets yesterday’s value in one tap, and Undo in the message takes it back. The keypad has the same button for just that number, and All four same when all four are still empty. On a phone, a long-press on an empty number does the same for that one.
Your own items
Track more than the four: add your own items in Me, then Settings, then Check-in items. There are two kinds:
- Number: a name, a unit (like g, L, h or min), and if you want a daily goal. A goal is either at least (Water, at least 3 L) or at most (Carbs, at most 200 g). Turn on decimals for things like 2.5 L.
- Checkbox: a name only, done or not each day (Creatine, Vitamins, Stretching).
Suggestions add Carbs, Fat, Fibre, Water, Sleep, Creatine, Vitamins or Stretching in one tap. You can have up to 12 items. Move them up and down to set their order on Today, rename them, hide them, or delete them. Deleting keeps the values you logged: add an item with the name it had when you deleted it and they come back. A new item with a different name always starts empty. The four built-in numbers can be hidden too if you do not use them. If you hide everything, Today says so and links to Settings. One day holds up to 24 of your values; when a day is full, the values of deleted items on that day are cleared to make room.
On Today your items sit after the built-in ones. A number opens the same keypad; a checkbox ticks with one tap, and Undo takes it back. Same as yesterday fills your numbers too, never your checkboxes. Up to 8 tiles show at once; More shows the rest.
Targets
Set a daily target for protein, calories and steps, and a goal bodyweight if you have one, in Me, then Settings. Each number on Today then shows how far along you are (for example 125 of 140 g). Bodyweight has no ring to fill: it shows the 7-day average instead, because a single weigh-in jumps around with water and food.
Your week and over time
Plan, under the week, shows the week’s totals: the averages and totals of the built-in numbers, each of your numbers as an average or a total (you choose per item), and each checkbox as 5 of 7 days.
Progress, then Body draws your bodyweight’s 7-day average over the last 90 days, a chart for each of your numbers, and the last 30 days of each checkbox, each with the same numbers in words or a table.
Private, always
Check-in numbers and your own items are only ever visible to you. They never appear in the feed, on your profile, in a group or in a challenge, whatever your other privacy settings are. This is enforced by the database’s security rules, not just hidden in the app. See Privacy and who sees what.
Not yet
Liftorra does not read Apple Health, Health Connect or a watch yet. Until it does, you type steps and bodyweight yourself. There are no reminders for check-in items yet.
