Changelog

What's new

Every update to Liftorra, newest first. The app shows the latest one the first time you open it after an update.

2 updates

26 October 2026

  • History and the feed load older items faster, and long lists scroll more smoothly on the phone.

26 October 2026

  • With a screen reader, the instructions for moving exercises are read once, not on every row.
  • In the exercise list, Show more now adds exactly as many exercises as it says, and takes you to the first new one.

2 updates

25 October 2026

  • A workout that cannot be read now says so in plain words, instead of showing a block of technical text.

25 October 2026

  • The exercise list shows 40 at a time with Show more, so you can reach every exercise, also with a muscle or equipment filter.
  • On the phone, marking a workout as not counting or changing who sees it now sticks, even when the workout was finished offline.
  • After Save changes on a finished workout, the Undo message from editing goes away instead of offering an Undo that did nothing.

3 updates

24 October 2026

  • The Feed no longer shows an error when a friendship or group changes while it loads. It shows everything else.

24 October 2026

  • On a computer, clicking Log or Add set right after typing a weight works the first time. Before, the click could get lost.

24 October 2026

  • Logging on the phone app is lighter: typing weights and ticking sets stay smooth on long workouts, and exercise drawings no longer reload while they play.

6 updates

23 October 2026

  • Opening a comment notification has the comment box ready, even from a closed app, and a second one for the same workout opens too.

23 October 2026

  • Already have a routine? Pick 'I have my own routine' when you start and add your own workouts.

23 October 2026

  • Program changes made at Finish while offline are saved when you are back online.
  • A day you trained no longer also shows as skipped.
  • Kudos and comments show a workout's new name after you rename it.

23 October 2026

  • New here? Your first workouts show a short tip while you rest. Hide them any time.

23 October 2026

  • In the phone app, pages you open from a tab now have a smaller title, so it is clear you went one step in.

23 October 2026

  • Coming back to the app no longer shows 'This is taking longer than usual' while the feed or your programs are still loading.

1 update

16 October 2026

  • Exercise drawings now show on the exercise pages of liftorra.com and in the phone app, under Me, Exercises.
  • Finish always offers Keep going while sets are not ticked, and offers Discard when nothing is ticked.
  • A tidier, more consistent look across Today, Plan, Progress, Social and Me.
  • The program editor highlights just one Save button, so it is clear which one to press.
  • A reaction that did not save now says so where you tapped, with Try again.
  • The exercise picker in the phone app shows a drawing next to each exercise.
  • In the phone app, finding friends has a Find button, and Plan shows how many sessions are done next to the week.
  • Back now goes where you expect after opening the app from a notification.
  • Your name and handle on Me line up again, and History offers Try again when it could not load.
  • The help buttons on the number pad are easy to see in dark mode.
  • Deleting your account can't be cancelled halfway.

1 update

14 October 2026

  • Set up today's workout before the gym: Edit on Today opens that day's exercises without starting a workout.
  • Discarding a workout where you changed the exercises can save them for next time.
  • Add exercise now sits at the top of a workout too, so there is no scrolling to the bottom.

1 update

13 October 2026

  • Today has a Stop button while a workout is open: save it or discard it without opening the workout.

1 update

12 October 2026

  • Me, Plan shows your member number. The first 100 accounts are founding members with Plus free for good.
  • Liftorra Plus is coming for groups, notifications and profile photos. Logging, progress, friends and the feed stay free.
  • liftorra.com has a Features page listing everything the app does, and a Pricing page.

1 update

11 October 2026

  • Share a workout as a square picture or a story, in the app look, light or dark.
  • After you pick a profile photo on the web, drag and zoom it to choose what shows in the circle.
  • Notifications are on by default. After your first friend, group or kudos we ask once, and you can turn any of them off in Me, Notifications.
  • Programs and workouts show their name once at the top, the last-time line sits under the exercise name, and big text fits on Progress.
  • In the app, a Me page opened from another tab (like Settings) goes Back to where you were, and the Me tab always opens on its main page.
  • On the web, text you typed is no longer lost when you press Back: Type sets keeps it, and other boxes ask first.

10 October 2026

  • If a workout in progress cannot save, the logger now says so under the clock, and it keeps trying on its own.
  • In the app, the eye beside the workout clock stays after you hide a workout, so you can tap it to show it again.

10 October 2026

  • Today shows a workout you left open, from any day or device, with Resume and Discard.
  • Warm-up sets now rest 1 minute unless you choose otherwise.
  • Set rows stay on one line: a new best is a medal on the tick, drops are added from the set number, and the keypad has a Bar key.
  • Comments open ready to type, and Edit sits next to Do this again on a finished workout.
  • A workout left open for days no longer counts days of training. When you open it, we ask whether to finish it, keep going or discard it.
  • In a superset, warm-ups come first, then the lifts take turns, and Busy? shows on each of them.
  • Muscle filters show again when you add an exercise on the web, and messages with Undo go away after 8 seconds, clear of the timer.
