How the numbers are worked out
Estimated one-rep max. The Epley formula: weight × (1 + reps / 30). A single is its own weight. It is most useful for sets of 1 to 12 reps; above that the estimate drifts, and Liftorra does not record it as a best. The rep table runs the formula backwards and rounds to 2.5 kg or 5 lb.
Plates. The calculator loads the heaviest plates first, the same on both sides: 25, 20, 15, 10, 5, 2.5 and 1.25 kg, or 45, 35, 25, 10, 5 and 2.5 lb. If your target cannot be matched exactly, it tells you the closest weight under it. A standard Olympic bar weighs 20 kg (45 lb); change the bar weight for a women's bar, a trap bar or a fixed barbell.
In the app, the keypad does the plate maths for you while you log a set, and Me > Tools (also in Settings) has these calculators with your own bar and plates, even offline. It can fill the one-rep max from your best recent set of an exercise.
