61 updates

Invite links that connect

  • Your invite link now makes you friends as soon as your friend accepts it. No request to approve.
  • Opened from an invite, a new account sees who invited them first and picks a handle right there. The plan questions come after.
  • A friend request from someone without a handle no longer reads "Former member". Add friend now asks for a handle first.

Big text in the workout

  • Hid your workout from friends by mistake? Show again brings it back while you train. The Hide link is easier to tap.
  • With large text, the workout header and the rest bar take much less room, so the set you are logging stays on screen.

Social, more reliable

  • Hiding your workout from Training now, or hiding a friend suggestion, now tells you if it did not save, so what you see always matches what friends see.
  • Suggestions you hid stay hidden, even after a slow connection.
  • A new challenge shows its leaderboard straight away, and the post owner always hears about new comments.

Social fixes

  • Copying your invite link now shows "Copied" on screen, and the Social badge opens the feed where the news is.
  • Group boards show the day letters above the dots, new challenges suggest a title, and common lifts come first.
  • Big text sizes work on Social: request buttons move under the name and stay on screen.
  • Passing someone in a challenge now counts when you break a tie, and nobody at zero is told they were passed. Shared places read "tied 1st".
  • Fire and Strong are named as Fire and Strong in Activity, and a note about someone who left a group or a deleted challenge goes away.

Social puts your friends first

  • The feed has Today and Yesterday headers, a new best leads its card, and your own posts show who gave kudos.
  • When someone replies to a workout you commented on, you hear about it in Activity.
  • Find people by name as well as handle, and add people from your groups in one tap.
  • Get a notification when someone wants to be friends, and when a challenge starts in your group.
  • The feed opens on your friends: your profile and Activity are small buttons at the top, and friend requests are one line.
  • While you train, the workout screen says friends and groups can see it, with Hide for that workout.

Counting what matters

  • Mark a test or half-done workout as Doesn't count. It stays in History but leaves records, streaks, challenges and the feed. Count it again any time.
  • After your first workout, Today offers to pick a handle so friends can find you. Not now hides it.
  • Plan shows Start now only on your next planned day, so a stray tap can no longer move a later session.
  • Progress groups lifts by movement: deadlifts are Pull, and squats, lunges and leg presses are Legs.
  • Adding warm-ups now says plainly that the lift gets them every time, and where to stop it.

Drag to reorder

  • Drag an exercise by its handle to a new place, during a workout and in your programs. Its logged sets go with it, and Undo puts it back.
  • On a computer, move an exercise with the keyboard: focus its handle, press Space, use the arrow keys, then Space again.

Removing things

  • Everything you add can be taken out, with Undo: Remove last set under each exercise, swipe a set left on the phone, and remove one drop or a whole exercise.
  • Delete a workout straight from History, and clear a check-in value with the Clear button on its keypad.

The website

  • A Sign in link at the top of liftorra.com for people who already have an account.
  • Start this program and Log it in Liftorra on liftorra.com now open that program or exercise in the app, even after you create an account.
  • The home page leads with the main thing: your last workout is filled in. Its picture of the logger shows reps before weight, as the app does.
  • The one-rep max calculator asks for reps first and says what the result means: the most you could lift once.
  • The exercise page in the app goes back to Progress when you opened it from there.

Plans, programs and history

  • Save as program can add the workout as a new session to a program you have, on the days you usually do it.
  • History has a search by exercise, month headings, and shows the exercises on each workout. Do this again is one tap from the list.
  • The program editor is shorter: each session is one row until you open it, and Share and Delete sit in the menu at the top.
  • Sharing a program now asks first and says what people will see. The link card says which version it still shows.
  • Stop using a program now offers Undo. Week totals show average protein per day instead of a weekly total.
  • New best is the one word for a record everywhere, including History.
  • Numbers such as week totals show the number first and its name under it, the same on the web and the phone.

Getting started

  • Pick your training days right on each plan when you start, and see what your first workout holds.
  • The first screen is simpler: one short line of days per plan, and no second way to skip. Just log is the way to start without a plan.
  • Your first planned workout is always the first session of the plan, whatever day you start.

Adding exercises

  • Add several exercises at once: tick them in the list, then Add. A new empty workout opens the list for you.
  • Filter the exercise list by muscle group and equipment while you log.
  • Search finds exercises with words in any order, like leg press machine, and puts whole-word matches first.
  • A new exercise opens and scrolls into view, with Undo. Creating your own exercise waits until nothing matches, so you do not make copies by accident.

A calmer Today

  • Done for today? Log another workout from the same card, for a second session or evening cardio.
  • What's new no longer covers Today. A single line under your workout says what changed; tap it to read more, or hide it.
  • Clearer words on Today: a lift done for the first time now says you will see these numbers next time, and a tick item says to do.
  • Without a plan, the weekly check waits until you have logged two weeks.
  • The smallest labels, like section names, day letters and tab names, are a little bigger and easier to read.

Me and Settings

  • Me has a Settings row, and Settings starts with a list of every section: rest timer, plates, check-in items and more are one tap away.
  • Help and feedback on Me: email us from the app.
  • Save targets only lights up when you changed a target.
  • Account on Me opens your sign-in email and password. Settings headings are easier to read, and plate buttons are easier to tap.
  • Me and Settings wait for your saved choices instead of showing defaults for a moment, so a quick tap never changes the wrong setting.

Honest check-in

  • An empty check-in tile now shows a dash, with yesterday's number small underneath, so a day never looks logged when it is not.
  • On the phone, your own check-in items are the same size as the others.
  • Same as yesterday on Today now copies only your weight. Steps, calories and protein are no longer filled in before they happen.
  • Save and Skip on the check-in keypad now go on to your own number items, such as Water, instead of stopping after steps.

Logging, safer and faster

  • Undo after logging several typed sets at once.
  • About this exercise in the logger now shows how to do it, with the moving demo. The phone app shows demos beside exercise names too.
  • Type sets now has one name and one place: the keypad key opens it for that row, and it is also in the workout menu.
  • Typing just 8 logs 8 reps at the weight on the row. The preview spells each set out, like 3 reps × 8 kg, and notes a weight under the empty bar.
  • Type rpe 8 after a set to save its effort. Pounds typed in a kg account round to a weight you can load.
  • On the keypad, Next moved away from Log set so a quick tap logs the set.
  • Machine busy now suggests other machines first. On a barbell lift it asks if the rack or bar is busy and suggests lifts off the bar.
  • When the tip says to aim for one more rep, the rows are already filled in with it, so one tap logs it.
  • The set to log now says Log on its button, and a logged set shows a check, so you can tell them apart without relying on colour.
  • A run or a row starts as one effort, and the distance column says Metres.
  • The finish sheet is clearer: only new bests are gold, empty sets are named as empty, and with no friends yet it just says only you can see it.
  • The plate helper reads Bar 20, each side 15 + 1.25. Finish stays in the same place when it lights up.
  • A workout you discarded no longer comes back after the page reloads. Undo still brings it back.
  • Screen readers hear not set for a weight you have not entered yet, and no previous when there is no last time.
  • With very large text, Today no longer scrolls sideways, and the logger drops the small demo pictures so your sets come into view sooner.
  • Stopping a hold early no longer lowers the time on the sets after it.

Signing in

  • Forgot your password? Tap Forgot password on the sign-in screen and we email you a link to set a new one.
  • Signed up with Google? Add a password in Settings on the web, then sign in with your email in the phone app.
  • If you try to create an account that already exists, one tap signs you in instead.
  • The phone app no longer shows a Google button that does nothing, and says how to get in with a Google account.

Notification and Activity fixes

  • Turning notifications off on one device no longer silences your other devices. Use Turn off on all devices to stop them everywhere.
  • After you sign out, your notifications never reach the next person who signs in on that browser or phone.
  • New kudos and comments show as new in Activity even when a phone clock is a little off.
  • Your daily notification limit now holds when several friends react at once.
  • A workout finished offline keeps its card, kudos and comments in the feed.
  • Every group member gets the Monday recap, even on a busy week.
  • Opening the app from a notification no longer jumps back to it later.

A clearer Progress

  • Progress opens with your new bests this month and your main lifts, each with its trend over 6 weeks.
  • See your protein, calories and steps over the last 30 days against your targets, in Progress, under Body.
  • Your records are a clear table you can search and sort. Tap a lift to see its sessions.
  • Charts show your real change: rounded scales, your targets as a line and a 7-day average. This week is marked "so far".
  • History is grouped by month, and you can show only Push, Pull or Legs workouts.
  • One name for your estimated best: Est. max.

Notifications

  • Turn on notifications to hear about kudos, comments, high-fives and your groups, even when the app is closed.
  • Choose what you hear about, mute a friend, and keep nights quiet in Settings, under Notifications.
